Job Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist
Salary Range: $66,560 - $75,000 Annually
Classification: Exempt / M-F 8am-5pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Senior HR Generalist coordinates and supports various human resources functions including payroll, benefits, and leave processes. This position maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records to support the mission of Interfaith Community Services.
- Processes payroll including updates to earnings, deductions, garnishments, differential pay, bonus pay, final pay, etc.
- Regularly audits payroll to ensure accurate pay for all staff
- Processes change of status forms in a timely manner and verifies accurate reflection in changes to pay and/or benefits
- Administers all benefits for eligible staff by monitoring enrollment windows, approving or denying benefit elections in a timely manner, and processing manual enrollments as necessary
- Coordinates the annual open enrollment process and ensures all enrollment changes are made in a timely manner
- Works closely with benefit administrators to ensure all staff are properly enrolled in and maintain benefits throughout the year
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding pay and benefits including the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
- Completes monthly reconciliations for all benefit plans and works closely with accounting to ensure billing accuracy
- Serves as a member of the 401(k) Advisory Committee; providing updates to the committee on employee feedback and trends
- Maintains, stores, and retrieves information in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
- Maintains agency employee SharePoint Benefits page, Payroll page, and related HR Document Libraries with the most current and relevant information
- Coordinates the employee leave programs including FMLA, CFRA and other available leaves by processing leave requests, tracking leave periods and providing notices to staff regarding leaves
- Processes all EDD requests to ensure accuracy and informs Senior HR Manager of any discrepancies
- Advises the Director of Human Resources on trends related to benefits and leaves as they arise and compiles applicable data for trend analysis
- Provides timely general employee guidance on all HR-related topics
- Assists with other HR functions such as worker’s compensation, recruitment, and retention, etc. as necessary
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, interns, clients, visitors and the public
- Promotes a workplace culture that is consistent with Interfaith's values
- Stays up to date on changes in legislation related to pay, benefits, and leaves, and advises Director of HR on any changes that may impact the agency
- Maintains confidential files, employee records, and Human Resources department records; both physical and electronic documents.
- All other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director and Senior Human Resources Manager.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience required; an equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted
- Minimum 2 years HRIS administration experience required
