CEO Panel Discussion: How to Leverage Your HR Leaders in this New 2020 Workplace

2020 has shaken up nearly every aspect of our lives, and has certainly changed the dynamics of the workplace. So what does this mean for Human Resource leaders? And how can CEOs learn to leverage these critical members of their executive team?

We know you have questions, so we’ve gathered a panel of CEOs to discuss their struggles and strategies.

Our panel of Executives will discuss topics such as:

    • What new business challenges they’re currently anticipating, and how HR can help address them.
    • New skills HR professionals will need to develop to continue to be relevant in the future.
    • How COVID-19 has changed the role of their HR leadership team.
    • How D&I conversations have changed the role of HR.
    • Their best advice for future HR Leaders.

Celebrate Your Team: A Call for Submissions

In the current climate we are unable to hold our annual Executive of the Year (EOY) event where we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the San Diego HR community.  However, we feel strongly that during times like these, when our profession has added more value to business than ever before, we continue to recognize, share and develop the HR community in San Diego.

The EOY has always been a time to celebrate and a time to share great ideas.  We’re sure the ideas and enthusiasm contained in the finalist’s videos have likely inspired you to do what they’ve done to enhance your own organization.  Since we can’t come together in person, we want to celebrate virtually, so we are sending out this call for presentations. We want to hear what innovations and accomplishments you or your teams have achieved this past year in the face of these unprecedented challenges. Help us all learn and grow and provide recognition to your teams!

November’s Forum meeting will highlight five teams and/or projects.  How do youparticipate?

  • Provide a Powerpoint or video presentation that is no more than 15 minutes in length, detailing some of the amazing work you/your Team have done this past year.
  • Submissions should be sent no later than October 1 to info@sdhrforum.com

The selection committee will pick 5 teams which will share their projects virtually to our HR community. This is a great way to provide recognition for your teams and help the community at the same time. Those selected will be invited to present their program at the November 17thvirtual session.  Additionally, we will be sharing the winners’ programs via our social media platforms, as well as sharing highlights on our website.

We feel it is important to continue to recognize and celebrate, and we sincerely hope that you will participate.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Sina Trada at info@sdhrforum.com.

We look forward to seeing some of your amazing accomplishments!

Angelica Gamble-Wong, Board President & Alison Wagner, EOY Chairperson
