    Looking for answers about how to navigate California’s ever changing rules regarding employers' COVID obligations to employees, available leave laws, changes in wage and hour rules, and immigration?  The 2020 San Diego HR Forum Law Day will address these issues, and more!

    Guest Speakers:

    Brent Douglas, Employment Law Attorney, Hahn, Loeser & Parks LLP.  Brent is a seasoned California labor and employment attorney with experience providing both compliance and litigation support to businesses. Brent’s practice focuses on wrongful termination, harassment, and wage-and-hour claims, as well as breach-of-contract, partnership, and general business litigation.

    Ryan Nell, Employment Law attorney, Pettit, Kohn, Ingrassia, Lutz & Dolin. Ryan is an employment attorney responsible for representing California employers statewide in both counseling and comprehensive litigation support.  With the ever-changing landscape of California and federal employment law, Ryan prides himself on assisting clients in staying ahead of the curve in an effort to avoid legal trouble before it arises.  He has extensive experience representing clients in harassment, retaliation, and discrimination matters, as well as large-scale wage and hour lawsuits.

    Teodora Purcell, Immigration Law Attorney, Duane Morris, LLP.  Teodora practices in the area of immigration law. With extensive and diverse experience, she focuses on business immigration matters. She advises corporate and individual clients on employment and family-based non immigrant and immigrant petitions, I-9 compliance, applications for U.S. citizenship and other immigration benefits. She also provides counsel on various global mobility and business traveler issues.

    Brooke Tabshouri, Employment Law Attorney, Duane Morris, LLP.  Brooke serves on the the San Diego HR Forum Board of Directors as its Director of Legal Education.  She practices in the area of employment and labor law. She has extensive experience counseling and advising clients in employment law issues, drafting employment policies and handbook, and providing employee training, including required harassment training for managers in California, and defends employers and management against claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations and trade secrets theft.
