    POSITION: Benefits Administrator

    DEPARTMENT: Human Resources & Organizational Development

    REPORTING SUPERVISOR: Director, Total Rewards & HRIS


    FLSA: Non-Exempt



    SCHEDULE: Standard business hours

    The Benefits Administrator is responsible for administration of group benefit programs including group health, dental, vision, long-term disability, life/ADD insurance plan and flexible spending plan. This individual will be the primary contact for employees, will be monitoring benefit administration and overseeing the end-to-end benefit process. The Benefits Administrator will provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.


    · Perform various monthly, quarterly and annual review of benefit systems perform audit of employee eligibility

    · Coordinate required filings in compliance with applicable government regulations, including timeliness and accuracy of required filings

    · Process benefits enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, and conduct compliance testing

    · Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and update of employee benefit records

    · Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans

    · Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package

    · Design and distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions

    · Other duties as assigned


    Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience


    · Minimum of 2 years of benefits administration  experience required

    · Minimum of 2 year experience in Human Resources field required

    · Prior experience utilizing benefits systems required, preferably Ceridian DayForce

    · Prior experience working with Risk Management (Workers Comp and Ergonomic) preferred


    · Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word)

    · Knowledge of benefit contract language

    · Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements
