About This Role:
The Employee Relations Specialist provides support and guidance with compliance in employment practices and resolving employee relations matters. Participates in developing and implementing programs that promote a positive work environment and encourage employee engagement.

Essential Functions:
- Consults with, and provides guidance to, employees and leaders on compliance with employment-related programs, policies and procedures, employment laws, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and terminations, to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
- Oversees all aspects of ER cases and investigations and raises sensitive and/or high-risk issues as appropriate. Provides reports, findings, and recommendations for resolution to HR leadership and ensures all appropriate documentation including investigation findings and closure of cases are filed accordingly.
- Analyzes and maintains employee relations trends in attrition, talent management practices, exit interview data, and grievances, compiles findings, and makes recommendations for improvement where needed.
- Assists with the development of employee relations practices necessary to establish a proactive, positive employer-employee relationship. Promotes a high level of employee engagement by partnering with HR Business Partners, and leadership to identify long-term /on-going performance issues that have not been addressed or performance that has not improved.
- Assists with the development and implementation of employment policies, procedures and programs that meet regulatory compliance, align with the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values, and promote employee engagement.
- Participates in the termination process ensuring timeliness with final pay, separation paperwork, and collection of company property. Conducts exit interviews for voluntary and involuntary terminations as appropriate and provides actionable insights.
- Assists with the company’s performance management process. Provides guidance to review writers and monitors on-time completion.
- Collaborates with operational support within the Talent Management team including the functions of Talent Acquisition, and Organizational Development & Engagement as assigned.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
- PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum three years of relevant Human Resources experience.
What You Bring:
- Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and resolution with employee relations matters.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite and intermediate proficiency with HRIS software; UKG a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs with the ability to deliver results in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with employees and leadership regarding confidential employee relations matters, and to coordinate efforts with all members of the Human Resources team as well as various business partners throughout cross-functional departments.
- Excellent project management skills while maintaining a commitment to quality. Must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of independence to plan, organize, and implement multiple projects within time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and government employment-related regulations.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends, to support employees on all three shifts.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

The annual salary for this opportunity ranges from $65,000 - $90,000.
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
