    Pay Range: $21-$23 per hour

    Schedule: Full-Time

    Job Summary

    At Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) the Recruiting Coordinator assists Hiring Managers, Managers, and the Human Resources team with job posting management and other related tasks.  Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Recruitment Coordinator is often the first point-of-contact for applicants, the ideal candidate has excellent customer service organizational, and time management skills.

    Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

    ·         Maintain a high level of activity in processing candidates during the preemployment process by utilizing on-boarding checklist.
    ·         Create job advertisements and post openings with professional organizations, colleges, and other position appropriate venues.
    ·         Perform phone screens and provide other support with the application process.
    ·         Create handouts and materials for job fairs. Attend job fairs and/or hiring events.
    ·         Perform pre-employment screening for all potential employees including LiveScan fingerprint rolling, pre-employment physical/drug screen, background check, MVR clearance, etc.
    ·         Perform employee follow-up calls to check in with new hires.
    ·         Assist team with organization and implementation of new hire orientation.
    ·         Input employee data into HRIS software as needed.
    ·         Collect and process I-9 documentation utilizing E-Verify.
    ·         Organize and ensure all new hire & orientation paperwork is completed accurately and fully.
    ·         Ensure employees complete required orientation trainings in Learning Management System.
    ·         Manage clearance documents of all staff.
    ·         Manage all internal employee transfer requests.
    ·         Communicate effectively with managers and potential employees daily to advise on the status of the hiring process.
    ·         Assist with filing, maintenance, and requests of employee personnel data.
    ·         Review, sort, and distribute department mail.
    ·         Responsible for checking the department lockbox, collecting received documents, filing them, updating applicant/employee records, and disseminating documents to the relevant HR representative.
    ·         Maintains current knowledge with the latest EEO regulations and California labor laws pertaining to hiring and recruitment practices, ensuring compliance in all aspects of the hiring process and maintaining a fair and inclusive work environment.
    ·         Perform other related job duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Education

    ·         High School Diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
    ·         At least two years of office support experience preferred.
    ·         At least two years of customer service experience preferred.
    ·         At least one year of recruitment/HR experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
    ·         Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.
    ·         The ability to read, write, and understand the English language. Bilingual preferred.
    ·         Proficient using Microsoft Suite and other standard office software.
    ·         HRIS experience preferred; Paycom a plus.
    ·         Must obtain LiveScan roller certification within 90 days of hire.

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, carrying, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling. The employee may frequently move to interact with fellow employees and/or clients. Additionally, the individual may be required to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

We serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome, epilepsy, autism, and cerebral palsy. Each year, we provide support services to 4,500 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities within San Diego and Imperial Counties. With over 800 employees, we provide a full continuum of care including premium residential care in 29 specialized group homes, early childhood development, independent living support and on-site activity services at our resource center, located in El Cajon. Additionally, we provide life skills training, vocational assistance, free counseling, respite care, and county-wide transportation services.
