    We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our People & Culture team!


    As our Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be the first point-of-contact for recruiting and hiring our direct and indirect labor positions, facilitating temporary-to-regular conversions, and as a member of our Talent Acquisition team, filling other positions as needed across our San Diego locations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that we are properly staffed to meet our manufacturing and operations goals for products that improve others’ lives such as, Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Freeflow Spas®, Fantasy Spas®, and Endless® Pools. This role reports to our Director of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding and plays a major part in helping our business meet our objectives while offering individuals meaningful work at a great company that appreciates people.


    • Are you a true full-cycle recruiter? You will be responsible for full cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviews, preparing and extending offers, and assisting individuals in completing pre-hire and onboarding processes.

    • Do you enjoy sourcing? By leveraging a variety of sources such as job boards, trade schools, community organizations, staffing agencies, etc., you will source and identify qualified candidates with a focus on building a diverse workforce. You’ll also build a candidate pipeline for future openings and determine when agency partners are necessary to meet our hiring needs.

    • Are you inquisitive? You will conduct behavior-based interviews to assess candidates against the hiring criteria and our Watkins Way values and identify concerns or red flags when they arise to ensure that the company is making a sound hiring decision and hiring the right talent for our open positions.

    • Can you build positive relationships? You will use your relationship-building skills and customer focus to partner with our hiring managers, supervisors, People and Culture team members and other individuals across the company to understand hiring needs, explain challenges, and provide data and status updates as needed. You’ll demonstrate managerial courage to voice differing opinions or raise concerns and communicate hiring and offer recommendations to hiring teams.

    • Are you analytical? Working with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding, you will finalize and extend offers to candidates with the ability to present and explain the full package to gain offer acceptance.

    • Do you have strong writing skills? You will collaborate with hiring managers to create well-written job postings that are attractive and enticing to job seekers. You will also use your experience and expertise to determine best platforms to post, based on position type and niche requirements.

    • Are you passionate about candidate experience? We take candidate experience very seriously so it will be imperative that you ensure a positive candidate experience for all candidates who are engaged during the recruitment process. You will be expected to provide timely communication and updates to candidates and demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating positive or negative feedback related to their candidacy.

    • Are you process driven and tech savvy? You will work within an established recruitment process while identifying and sharing ideas for continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness. You will utilize our Applicant Tracking System (currently Workday Recruiter) to update requisition and recruitment activities and leverage sourcing tools and technologies to reach candidates. You will have the opportunity to explore new tools and technologies which can help improve our recruitment capabilities as a team, specifically for the direct/indirect labor workforce, and highlight those to be considered for purchase or implementation.

    • Are you a team player? As part of the Talent Acquisition team and the broader People and Culture team, you will have the opportunity to participate in special projects and/or events and gain broader understanding and experience in People and Culture (Human Resources) as a function. 

    • Do you stay active within the community? You will seek out and partner with community organizations, trade schools, military organizations, and other local resources to build relationships, develop sourcing channels, attend career events, and promote our employer brand to target candidate pools.


    • Bachelor's degree in a related function such as, Human Resources or Business Administration is strongly preferred. Equivalent work experience can be considered. 

    • Minimum 2 years of related experience in recruiting with demonstrated ability to work through all stages of full-cycle recruitment. Previous experience working as a corporate recruiter is preferred.  Experience recruiting for direct and indirect labor or other related positions is preferred. 

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word). Reasonable technical aptitude and capabilities to work within an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS system (Workday). Experience and success using sourcing tools such as Seek Out, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, LinkedIn, etc.

    • AIRS certification or similar credentials, PHR, SPHR (or equivalent) is a plus but not required. 

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a variety of audience types.

    • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and within a strong team environment.

    • Must be fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
