    We are hiring a People and Culture Business Partner to join our People and Culture team!


    As our People and Culture Business Partner, you will provide business partnership to your assigned internal client groups, including corporate and commercial functions to lead, develop, and execute People and Culture strategy in support of our business objectives. Additionally, you will serve as the first point of contact for our people leaders and employees within your assigned functions to provide counsel, coaching, and support on People and Culture fundamentals and employee-related questions. This role is key in executing People and Culture initiatives and driving functional excellence and process improvement, while championing key initiatives such as, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Employee Engagement, building a strong workplace culture, promoting employee wellness, etc. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and a transforming team aimed at supporting Watkins Wellness, an industry leading producer of brands such as Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Endless Pools®, Freeflow Spas®, and Fantasy Spas®.


    • Are you a strategic Business Partner? You will partner with your internal client leaders and their staff to provide strategic People and Culture partnership.  You will develop and execute both long-term and short-term People and Culture strategies that directly support and enable Watkins Wellness’ objectives.  We will also look to you to provide strategic coaching as it relates to succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
    • Do you have a passion for workplace culture?  You will lead by example to reflect our Watkins Way company values and our Masco (parent company) Enterprise Leadership Profile. You will also implement effective organizational structures that drive our Watkins Way values and culture to support business growth, efficiency, and maximize team performance.  You will also actively engage the Masco Operating System to identify opportunities for process efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Can you effectively handle Employee Relations matters?  You will conduct workplace investigations when needed to ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, investigated, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.  This includes gathering, preserving, documenting, and analyzing all available information and evidence, and making recommendations to the business on resolution, including any disciplinary actions required.
    • Are you a team player? You will partner with all our People and Culture teams including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Wellness, etc., to execute strategies and programs.  You will also assist and offer solutions regarding services and programs provided by the company, and act as a liaison for our employees to our Masco Service Center as needed. We are looking for a strong team player to join our team who will contribute to our positive work environment, diffuse escalated situations when they arise, and apply solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality appropriately.
    • Are you process-driven? You will lead and coach leadership on People and Culture processes related to employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations, performance management, career development, and talent assessment acquisition, and retention.  You will drive People Leader excellence through training, intentional development planning, seeking and providing feedback, and coaching.  You’ll also lead and facilitate roundtables and new leader assimilations and assist with leading processes including benefits and enrollment, compensation planning, compliance, and offer support for functional processes like Performance Development, Talent Review, Salary Planning, etc.
    • Are you ethical?  As our People and Culture Business Partner, you will be responsible to provide advice and counsel to managers and employees and ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
    • Are you detail-oriented?  As part of this role, you will ensure that employee information is appropriately documented and kept within our Workday HRIS and other record keeping systems.  You will also assist in managing legal requirements related to work authorization visas and other related documents to ensure compliance.
    •  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.  Professional certifications such as SPHR or PHR, or any additional credentials are a plus.
    • At least five (5) years’ related experience working in a business partnership role; the equivalent combination of education and experience working in Human Resources may be considered. 
    • Must have excellent business, financial, and human resources acumen with sound working knowledge of local, state, and federal labor law and government requirements. 
    • Thorough understanding of HR concepts and principles with expertise in a specialty area such as staffing, analytics, facilitation, compensation, etc.
    • Proficiency in using systems, tools, and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS (Workday preferred), SharePoint, etc.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve problems; Project Management with the ability to lead and execute projects independently; ability to multi-task and work with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary to be successful in this role.
    • Must be customer focused with unwavering responsiveness and follow through.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers, or higher-level executives. 
    • Bilingual skills are a plus (English required-Spanish preferred).
    • Occasional travel is required (when safe to do so).
