    Position Objective

    The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing various HR related duties, working closely with the HR Manager to support personnel in the functional areas of benefits administration, recruitment/employment, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, HRIS management, employment law compliance, key department deliverables and employee relations.

    Essential Results

    • HR tasks, responsibilities and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
    • Provides a wide range of human resource services in support of the department’s objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives.
    • Performs diverse assignments covering a broad area of HR functions (i.e. benefits administration, merit, performance management, full-cycle recruitment, leaves of absence, and workers compensation).
    • Responsible for management and automation of HRIS system (e.g., workflow, tools, etc.).
    • Conducts exit interviews and provides feedback and recommendations on trends.
    • Interprets and executes corporate policies and practices across the work-force to ensure consistent and equitable treatment.
    • Assists in the development and maintenance of wellness program.
    • Interface with payroll and their processes.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits regulations, including ensuring legal postings are current and maintaining affirmative action program.
    • Manages level 1 human resources problems such as dispute resolution, workplace safety, and leaves of absence. Collaborates with HR Manager on level 2 employee relations problems such as: harassment and discrimination claims, investigations, coaching and disciplinary actions.
    • Evaluates HR processes and technologies to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Instill company philosophy, culture, and core values.

    • A Bachelors’ degree and minimum five years of HR experience are required; combination of continued education beyond high school and equivalent work experience may be substituted.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
    • Benefits administration experience required.
    • PHR/SPHR a plus.
    • Current ADP Workforce Now preferred.
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); payroll software experience (especially with ADP platforms) is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage competing responsibilities within deadlines, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as this position requires frequent interaction with colleagues at all levels of the company.
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
    • Ability to build and maintain positive and supportive working relationships with other employees.
    • Sense of urgency and self-motivation.
    • Bilingual preferred
