    Description

    The HR Coordinator will assist or own a variety of projects including researching, building spreadsheets and tracking large amounts of data with expiration dates. Research and accurately tracking information in large spreadsheets are key components to the duties assigned. The HR Coordinator will also assist the Human Resources department by performing the following duties.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Answers employee inquiries promptly, professionally, and politely
    • Reviews company data tracker regularly to ensure all files are up to date
    • Scans all relevant documents and assigns them to the correct employee in the Paylocity system
    • Assists with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding of new employees
    • Assists with launching employee polls and surveys to track employee engagement
    • Assists with employee relations issues, terminations, and offboarding
    • Assigns and tracks employee training to maintain compliance with Federal and State laws
    • Tracks licensing for all clinical staff, performs OIG checks, HMDR’s for all personnel and staff and maintains Department of Health files for licensed personnel
    • Completes, submits and tracks HMDR applications
    • Posts licenses and renewal licenses at each facility as required by law
    • Adheres to strict guidelines keeping information confidential and secure
    • Researches HR and employment laws for specific states
    • Provides support for any special projects or events
    • Performs data entry, compiles spreadsheets, assists with mailers and other clerical duties as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory duties.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Must be very detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
    • Ability to track and maintain large amounts of data on multiple spread sheets accurately
    • Strong ability to research new information, compile information and make recommendations based on findings
    • Ability to compile and work in multiple page spreadsheets, reports and business correspondence

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Intermediate MS Office computer skills (including Excel) required. Ability to use office equipment such as a scanner, copier, and telephone. Entry level understanding of HR and knowledge of California law. Knowledge of facility, physician or DME licensing preferred.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from employees to top-level management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.


    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and situations furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    The position generally involves continuous sitting, frequent walking, frequent standing, light to moderate carrying, frequent bending and reaching, occasional kneeling, twisting, balancing and climbing, keyboard, telephone and radio operation and operation of office machinery and equipment.
