    BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for San Diego's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Human Resources Rep/Generalist to work for a leading San Diego biotechnology company.

    Essential Role Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of benefits enrollment activities for the Company and ensure all new employees receive all required information
    • Responsible for benefits compliance pertaining to COBRA, CalCOBRA, ACA and other qualified plans.  Ensure administrative compliance with state, federal and local regulations
    • Draft benefits procedures and policies, administrate approved policies and procedures, explain current practices and interpret policies and answer routine questions
    • Serve as a technical assistant, consultant and strategic partner to management on employment matters related to staffing, recruitment & selection, employee relations, performance management, staff development
    • Perform recruitment and staffing duties including writing and posting job announcements, receiving & screening resumes, conducting interviews, contacting references & coordinating background investigations, liaison with recruitment & executive search firms, temporary agencies
    • Participate in compensation analysis; including survey data submission and job matching
    • Responsible for new hire orientation and termination exit process
    • Maintain cohesive personnel files, benefits files, including controlled access and confidentiality
    • Develop and coordinate quarterly enrollment meetings for 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
    • Generate array of correspondence related to various Human Resources communications
    • Responsible for annual 401(k) audit, working with outside auditors, plan administrator, trust company and finance department
    • Maintain HRIS database and act as Program Administrator with outside vendor.  Implement any upgrades required and provide system analysis as needed.  Generate reports, input data and develop control points for system security and confidentiality with internal IT
    • Assist in the development and implementation of ESG activities, various HR policies and procedures
    • Develop and oversee awards and recognition program

    Non-essential Role Responsibilities Include

    • Attend outside meetings 
    • Plan and participate in employee activities and team building events
    • Attend legal up-date briefings, job-related seminars, human resources conferences and staff development sessions
    • Other duties as required

    Preferred Requirements

    • BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or Political Science
    • 4-7 years of related experience in performing and managing multiple functions in Human Resources
    • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.  Standard HRIS system and web-based ATS
    • Strong business presentation and communication skills.  Ability to work independently and effectively multi-task
