Duane Morris LLP, an international law firm with 800+ attorneys, is seeking a Human Resources Specialist for its San Diego office. This position will support and expand the transactional employment services provided to clients. Primary responsibility will be drafting, updating and maintenance of samples and templates for employee handbooks, policies, procedures, separation and settlement agreements, investigation documentation and employment-related forms, and for the customization of such documents for specific clients. With minimal supervision, the HR Specialist will assist with leave administration and basic research regarding California employment laws and administrative guidance.
The right candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects. Skilled in drafting policies, procedures, forms and charts, maintaining reference libraries of forms, templates and samples to assist with efficient drafting of documents. Candidate should possess strong problem-solving and proven analytical skills. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients. Employment Law experience a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. A Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
