    Dudek is currently seeking an entry-level, energetic, detail oriented, motivated individual to join our Human Resources team as an HR / Benefits Coordinator. This person will assist and support a variety of functions within the HR Department.  Strong attention to detail, organization skills and exceptional customer service skills required.  This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing HR Team!

    This full-time position will be based in our Encinitas, CA office.

     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assists with administration of employee benefits program, including group health, dental, vision, spending accounts, life and AD&D insurance, and wellness benefits.
    • Conducts benefits orientation for all new hires, processes benefits life events, and assists employees with benefits enrollment process.
    • Assists with annual Benefits Open Enrollment process.
    • Assists with Affordable Care Act and COBRA administration.
    • Assists with leave of absence administration including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, accommodations, etc.
    • Assists with the onboarding process for new hires; preparing new hire packets, conducting new hire orientations, and ensuring completion of needed new hire documentation.
    • Provides support for timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of HRIS; i.e. processing new hires, rehires status changes, wage changes, benefits and terminations.
    • Creates and maintains employee personnel files; ensure information in personnel records is accurate and current by thorough filing and auditing of files.
    • Responsible for maintaining I-9 documents in accordance with federal regulations.
    • Assists in the administration of employee service appreciation program.
    • Orders and maintains sufficient stock of HR supplies.
    • Provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department.
    • Assists with ongoing projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of Human Resources experience.

    Preferred Credentials and Skills

    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential.
    • Experience and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Prior HRIS experience highly desirable, preferably with Ceridian Dayforce HCM.
    • Must have strong customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and quality work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits and employee issues.
    • Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of California and US Labor and Wage and Hours laws, preferred.
    • Prior experience supporting employees in multiple states, preferred.
