The Compensation Lead is responsible for delivering the compensation function in support of HR leadership across all NASSCO locations. The Compensation Lead develops, recommends and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies, guidelines, and government regulations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and maintain the ability to commute to other buildings in and outside the shipyards for meetings, presentations and training. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
This position reports to Manager of Total Rewards, HRIS and People Data and is supported by the shared resources of Total Rewards team members. This role must demonstrate high integrity, solid work ethics and a commitment to General Dynamics GD NASSCO.
