    What does this role entail?

    • Provide Leadership to the design and implementation of compensation philosophy and systems for the organization
    • Direct oversight of Compensation and Benefits Analyst team, functions and department budget
    • Lead the development of compensation statements and help educate employees and managers to understand their compensation packages
    • Oversee the development, and maintains, the Organizations’ pay ranges and develop a competitive compensation philosophy that successfully attracts, retains and rewards high performing talent
    • Responsible for the administration of annual compensation programs, including salary planning, and variable pay programs
    • Interface with insurance brokers and benefit carriers.  Oversee benefits vendor relationships, benefits contracts and bid negotiations and coordinates effective open enrollment and benefits processing
    • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Submit government-mandated reports as needed
    • Oversee leave and accommodation requests ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
    • Effectively collaborate with key internal centers of excellence, including HRIS, TA ensure accuracy and timeliness of employee benefit and compensation
    • Maintains current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security act (ERISA), FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and other applicable Labor and/or Tax laws and regulations; fulfills compliance and reporting requirements

    What do I need to bring do the table?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business/Business Administration, Human Resources and/or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience in benefits and compensation management
    • 3 years’ experience managing a team
    • Experience with job evaluation, salary surveys and market pricing
    • Knowledge of compensation principles of base and variable pay programs
    • CCP or coursework towards certification preferred
    • Experience maintaining and providing insight to broad-based compensation plans
    • CPR and First Aid certified with 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Organization or American Safety & Health Institute.
    • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
    • This position requires the ability to sit, stand and input data on a computer for extended periods of time
    • CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
      • American Red Cross
      • American Heart Organization
      • American Safety & Health Institute
