Mental Health & Me in the Workplace

Mental Health and Me in the Workplace will help to identify, understand, and respond to mental health in the workplace. This session will provide tips, tools, and techniques to help prepare for mental health incidents or prevent them. Many people train and know when to provide CPR as a first aid but do they know how and when to provide mental health first aid? This is not your average presentation, this will be an interactive and engaging experience on a case study with collaborative planning and preparation amongst peers.     

Learning Objectives:

    How to identify and/or admit mental health in the workplace.
    • How to identify and/or admit mental health in the workplace.
    • How to respond to mental health in the workplace with an action plan.
    • How to understand and normalize mental health conversations in the workplace.
    • Practices, policies and procedures to reconsider with mental health in mind.

    Speaker Bio:

    Joy Freeman is a speaker, coach, trainer, facilitator focused on  engaging, encouraging, & empowering others to own their personal and professional transformation.  Joy holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources, Bachelors in Organizational Leadership, a Diploma in Life Coaching, and is a DISC Methods Consultant. In addition to being a Certified Maxwell Team Member, Joy is also a Mental Health Coach, Mental Health First Aid Responder and Trainer  as well as a Suicide Prevention Trainer. She has successfully combined over 28 years in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning and Development, and Corporate
