Risk Management: Improving Outcomes through Health & Safety Programs

How do you lower the cost of your Workers’ Comp premiums? How do you improve your organization’s chances of winning that next contract? How do you lessen the likelihood of claims on other types of risk management insurance? While there are many components to risk management, our practitioners from EHS and HR will discuss how Health & Safety program design and management influences these concerns.

Each practitioner will share the principal risk factors they needed to mitigate in their business and how they strategically designed, and continue to evolve, their health and safety programs to address those factors. Come join us to learn:

  • What metrics they used to assess the impact of their efforts on the bottom line,
  • How HR practitioners need to partner with EHS/Operations to drive these results, and what this can look like in different types of business,
  • How Workers Comp management is both affected by and complements these results,
  • What points to consider in your risk management insurance policies and organizational policies/procedures to support your organization’s objectives.

Our presentation will be moderated by Phyllis Sarkaria, Principal, Sarkaria Group, and feature:

    • Thomas Conrad, EHS Director, Quidel
    • Tracy Ward, SHRM-SCP, Experienced HR Executive | Strategist | Culture Cultivator | Talent Maximizer
    • Sam Weese, Safety and Wellness Specialist, Family Health Centers of San Diego

We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday, February 19th!
