The Human Resources Manager of Employee Engagement will lead the development and implementation of all internal recognition strategies and events in collaboration with the Senior HR Leadership Team to ensure initiatives are in line with the strategic priorities, with a focus on improving culture and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, supportive, have excellent interpersonal communication; verbal, digital and design thinking skills. Strong project management skills are necessary. The Manager will be responsible for identifying and implementing metrics to measure performance in these areas and to develop action plans and objectives to continuously improve. A minimum of five years of Human Resources experience with employee engagement programs and event management is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. Effective communication, organizational and leadership skills are required. At least 2 years of public speaking experience is necessary. Selected candidate will travel between various San Diego Zoo Global work locations and must be able to work some weekends and evenings for events. A valid driver license is required.
