    The Human Resources Manager is an acquirer of talent, builder of culture, and manager and developer of our HR function.  Reporting directly to the CEO, you have an opportunity to help us craft and drive our culture, build key programs and processes, and help us mitigate risk and make smart decisions.  The Human Resources Manager must be a self-starter that possess strong oral and written communication skills, have a sales mentality, and believe that they are ready to help create the HR function.  

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    ·      Minimum 10 years’ experience in HR, preferably with a recruiting background

    ·      Strong business acumen

    ·      Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills and solutions-orientation

    ·      Effective oral and written communication.

    ·      Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    ·      Good understanding of organizational development, learning development, and compensation and benefits

    ·      General knowledge of employment laws and practices.​

    ·      Thrives in a team environment

    ·      Maintains a service-oriented culture and work with entrepreneurial spirit

    ·      Background in start-ups or high growth smaller companies desired

    ·      Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

    ·      Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent

    ·      Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, not required.

    KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

    1. Develops and administers HR plans and procedures for all personnel
    2. Supports and improves our employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes our Clients, Mission and Values.  Helps align our overall Strategic goals and objectives to our team members.
    3. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
    4. Leads recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers (in conjunction with agencies); drafts and places advertisements; works with hiring managers to screen and interview candidates; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
    5. Implements and annually updates our compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
    6. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.
    7. Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Member of PeopleFacts Leadership Team.  Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
    8. Creates and evaluates key performance indicators, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
    9. Develops and manages a HR budget
    10. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
    11. Some travel required to another office site outside of California
