NATURE & SCOPE:
Provide HR guidance and support to branches and corporate office across a breadth of areas including talent management, employee development, performance management, change management and employee relations.
Responsible for managing and monitoring all leaves of absence and worker’s compensation cases. Will provide coaching to management on these cases.
Responsible for managing and monitoring all unemployment claims using employee relations data. Will provide coaching to management on these cases.
Assess the HR implications of business initiatives and provide advice to the management team accordingly; similarly, understand business strategies and HR implications.
Manage the successful and consistent implementation of HR initiatives.
Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions and work with the business to ensure plans are actively put into practice.
Develop and implement people solutions to enhance and improve effectiveness of teams.
Work with leaders to create positive, safe, productive work environments.
Work collaboratively with the Human Resources team to improve overall HR team competencies.
Ensure consistent application of company policies and practices, including the Employee Handbook.
Consult with managers on offer packages and lead on-boarding for new employees.
Provide day to day delivery of HR programs that align HR solutions to business priorities.
Education, skills, & abilities:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner or the equivalent is required.
PHR/SPHR highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial industry and will have an understanding of job families and departmental structures.
Broad functional experience and knowledge in a broad range of human capital functional areas (talent, performance, compensation, compliance, etc.)
Well-developed analytical skills and problem solving skills, and the ability to “connect the dots” between the business needs and how HR can best meet those needs.
Be highly organized, detail oriented and a stickler for accuracy.
Be highly collaborate.
Possess and demonstrate exceptional judgment, self-management, impeccable ethics, and a high degree of personal and professional maturity.
Be results and customer oriented; view obstacles as opportunities, possess tenacity.

Work is primarily performed within an enclosed office setting. Subject to standard background noise found in an office environment. Subject to travel noise and traffic conditions when travelling for business.
