    The Human Resources Assistant provides support to the HR department in this exciting pharmaceutical company. This position will play a critical role as we build out the function to scale with our rapid growth. The HR Assistant must work cooperatively and effectively with all levels within and outside the organization, while maintaining the utmost standards of professional behavior.

    Primary responsibilities

    • Provide recruitment support, including scheduling interviews, booking candidate travel, checking references, and processing background checks
    • Coordinate on-boarding process for new employees, including creating new hire packets, new employee outreach, collection of employee paperwork, completing I-9s, coordinating with IT and facilities, and arranging for new hire orientation
    • Provide administrative support for VP of HR, including booking domestic and international travel, scheduling meetings, and managing calendar
    • Coordinate and assist with planning employee activities and events
    • Enter new hire information into Workday (HRIS)
    • Ensure that files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures
    • Complete verbal and written verifications of employment
    • Maintain HR documents on SharePoint and shared HR drives
    • Assist with benefit administration including reconciliation of invoices, open enrollment, leaves of absences, and workers compensation
    • Track and process employee recognition requests
    • Process HR invoices and manage vendor contracts
    • Assist with various special projects as needed
    • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned


    • High school diploma required; Associate or higher degree preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or HR role
    • HR background/experience/education strongly preferred
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
    • Experience with auditing and maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
    • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
    • Familiarity with an HRIS is preferred
